Participation of D4Science at OGF23 in June 2008

D4Science members will participate in the 23rd Open Grid Forum that will be held on 2-6 June 2008 in Barcelona, Spain.

On 5 June, the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and the European Space Agency will take part in different sessions of the ‘Community Outreach Seminar on Digital Repositories’ that will set the scene with discussions on state-of-the-art and visionary repositories from government, research and enterprise perspectives.

The morning session will introduce a series of user case studies focusing on specific domains with talks highlighting how top-level challenges for standards and interoperability are being tackled. There will be a presentation of the D4Science project. In the afternoon horizontal issues surrounding standards, interoperability and data infrastructures will be explored.
