Presentation of D4Science at OBIS governing board meeting on 29 April 2008
The Ocean Biogeographic Information System (OBIS) recently held its board meeting in FAO headquarters, Rome, Italy.
FAO presented an overview of the D4Science project and the "Integrated capture information system - An opportunity for strengthening Partnerships between Fisheries & Biodiversity communities".
The presentation was followed by an open discussion about possibilities offered by grid technologies and about ways of leveraging synergies through future collaboration between FAO and OBIS.
